Data protection

As market researchers, we handle sensitive data on a daily basis, and are thus keenly aware of our responsibility to treat such information with the utmost care and confidentiality. The same applies to data that our customers entrust to us, as well as information about our respondents and the resulting survey data.

When conducting our market research, we observe all relevant data protection laws and guidelines. In addition we comply with a number of additional national and international codes of professional conduct relating specifically to the protection of personal data.

Unlike most other CATI centres, MARKET phone uses only salaried staff. This is a major advantage in terms of data protection because all our employees are contractually required to observe data protection regulations and are subject to management control. Compared to subcontracted freelancers, a considerable element of risk is eliminated from the outset.

A key requirement of scientific market and social research is that answers be analysed in such a way that the respondent’s right to anonymity is respected. Contrary to direct marketing methods (cold calling, telesales), the survey data received by our customers is always anonymous and never linked to the name of the respondents. Personal data is likewise never sold or rented to third parties or exchanged with them.
